RISK, COMPLIANCE AND FINANCE

KYB and onboarding

Establish that a business is real, active, and owned by who it says, before you onboard it.

Here the rejections are the deliverable. A file that cannot show why it cleared a name has not done the job.

A SWEEP ON THIS BRIEF

7 FOUND2 KEPT5 REJECTED
  • Incorporated, UBO resolved
  • Filings current, active
  • No filing in 3 years
  • UBO chain terminates
  • Mass-registered address
  • Struck off register
  • Name match only

2 survived. The other 5 arrive too, each with the reason it failed.

The boundary.

Two answers define this brief. The second one is where the work is, and it is the question most teams never get asked.

WHAT COUNTS

Businesses whose incorporation, trading status and beneficial ownership resolve against a public register.

WHAT IS RULED OUT

No filing in three years. Ownership that cannot be traced to a natural person. Registered address shared with a volume of unrelated entities.

What a surviving row carries.

Every field below is either sourced or blank. Nothing on this list is inferred to fill a gap.

01

Incorporation and status, with the register and date

02

Beneficial ownership as far as the register resolves it

03

An explicit unresolved where the chain breaks — never an assumption

And one that did not make it.

Found, researched, thrown out — and sent to you anyway, with the reason. This is the half a data vendor never shows.

An entity that passed a name-match check

Ownership chain terminates in a holding company with no published beneficial owner. Unresolved, not cleared.
